A team of scientists has solved the inability of industrial robots to adapt to new working conditions. The machines are prevented from doing so by “hard programming,” which embeds data directly into the source code of the robots rather than in an external source. Now researchers have developed a command-and-control plugin for intelligent industrial robots.
