Last Chance to Preview & Register for Today's Back Pressure Regulator Webinar

Written by Jeff Hopkins | 8/22/13 1:00 PM

Swagelok Northern California's "Back Pressure Regulators Made Simple" presented by Eric Kayla is live today at 10am

In this 3 minute preview of today's webinar "Back Pressure Regulators Made Simple", Eric Kayla discusses the differences between back pressure regulators and relief valves and the type of applications each are best suited for. Register now for today's webinar.

If you already know your way around back pressure regulators… if you already feel comfortable reading flow curves, and if you have no trouble selecting the right back pressure regulator for your application, then you might not need to sign up for today's webinar. But we think you will still want to.

You will likely learn something, or at the very least get some good reminders, from Eric Kayla, one of Swagelok's roving experts on regulators. Normally he is out problem-solving throughout the western portions of North America talking with customers and discussing their needs.

You may already be familiar with Kayla from his earlier webinars on regulators. Most recently he discussed pressure reducing regulators, which regulate pressure downstream while sensing outlet pressure. Back pressure regulators operate a bit differently. They regulate upstream pressure while sensing inlet pressure.

Live webinar and private talks

Today, you'll get two different opportunities to tap into Kayla's expertise. His live webinar starts today at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Kayla will cover basic theory and operation of back pressure regulators, then explain the function of specific components in a back pressure regulator such as sensing elements, loading mechanisms, seats and poppets.  Throughout the webinar, will discuss applications where they are used. Here's a brief clip of what to expect. In the clip, Kayla explains how back pressure regulators differ in application from relief valves. Kayla also will go over flow curves, the technical charts that illustrate how a particular model of back pressure regulator is designed to perform within a certain range of conditions.

Come for the webinar, stay for the questions

After the formal presentation of about 30 minutes, Kayla will open the floor to questions from attendees. That's where live participation offers a big advantage over waiting for the recorded webinar to be posted online. If you want to delve deeper into one of Kayla's points, or ask about a particular challenge you are facing, this is a great opportunity.

If you'd rather ask a question in private, there's yet another option. Kayla has agreed to remain available after the webinar to take private phone calls. We will provide the phone number at the end of the webinar.

If you simply can't catch this webinar live, we won't leave you out in the cold. We will record the webinar and put it on our webinar replay webpage.
