DNA Could Store All of the World’s Data in One Room

The amount of data being produced around the world is outstripping our ability to store it. DNA has the potential to solve our storage problem, but methods to harness its capabilities have been slow and relatively inefficient. Now scientists at Columbia University and the New York Genome Project think they have hit on a method to efficiently store, retrieve, and copy—error-free—all human data in one room.
