Design breakthrough at CUNY's Advanced Science Center

Another promising advance on the horizon is the development of highly sensitive sensors that are small enough to be placed in hard-to-monitor locations like toxic areas and vehicle or machinery components.

Researchers at the Advanced Science Research Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY have borrowed concepts from quantum mechanics to develop a new technique for designing microelectromechanical (MEMS)-based wireless pressure sensors with capabilities far beyond those of conventional sensors. Imagine how you could use a network of such sensors to monitor your operations.
