Scientists Propose Methane Removal As Quick Fix For Climate Change

Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas, producing 84 times more heat than carbon dioxide. For that reason, removing it from the atmosphere might reduce global warming in the short term much more quickly than removing even larger amounts of carbon dioxide. Now a team of scientists is proposing a method for removing methane from the atmosphere using minerals more commonly used as catalysts in oil refining.
