Regulators play a vital role in any fluid system, so it’s important to match the regulator to the job. There’s a lot to consider. After all, there are nearly 300 regulators in Swagelok’s catalog. If you aren’t quite sure which measurements matter the most when choosing the right models, you could start to feel lost.

Knowledge is power

Of course, our experts are here to make sure you get the right regulator for your system, no matter how deep your knowledge runs. We service what we sell, so you know you have a partner to stand with you when you put your new regulators into service.

But when you have extra insight into the role that each component plays and how to get top performance from it, you’ll feel more confident when you come to Swagelok to get what you need. That, in turn, will help our experts help you. It’s a win-win: You have more confidence in your systems, and we’ll have more satisfied customers.

The subject seemed like an excellent way to kick off our new blog series. Over the coming weeks we’ll offer you some education on regulators, terminology, tips, hints and other resources for maximizing their use. For example, have you ever thought much about how a regulator works, and what conditions allow it to perform best? That’s where we will start in the next post. Later on we’ll talk about specific kinds of regulators for specific jobs. We plan to go into detail on a couple of different Swagelok lines, how the designs and materials make them ideal for various uses. Once we work our way through regulators, we’ll continue with some other fluid system components.

Your voice

The great part about a blog is that it’s not just us talking to you. It’s a conversation. I want to know what’s important to you when it comes to regulators and other components. Do you have questions you’d like us to answer? Do you agree with the way we approach the subject? Do you want us to address a special set of circumstances? I want to hear from you, in whatever forum feels most comfortable for you. In addition to our blog, you can find us on Facebook and Twitter.
